The National Curriculum is out of date already. It is designed for children to survive in a world of the past. It needs to be for children to thrive in a changing and challenging world.
We should always be listening to the experts. Never believing we know better. Never assuming because of our status we are always right. The experts in education are educators.
To enable educators to thrive in leading education policy – the strategic and national leadership of schools should be independent of the government.
Education has suffered from budget cuts and governmental under-appreciation for years. To build a curriculum that shapes children into citizens of the future – a grater financial commitment is needed.
